Support the Foundation

Ninety minutes of safety and stability

The Lazarus Centre provides food and pastoral support to people experiencing disadvantage and homelessness in Melbourne. Each morning, 365 days per year, the Lazarus Centre offers a hot breakfast to up to 170 people daily - all are greeted with dignity, generosity and compassion. For many, the Lazarus Centre is not only a place for breakfast, but for conversation, calm, and fellowship, as well as an opportunity for referrals and emergency supplies.

The St Peter’s Charitable Foundation was established in 1999 to support the work of the Lazarus Centre, a partnership with Anglicare.

A coffee, and an opportunity

Our St Peter’s Social Enterprise operates a coffee caravan, Heaven at the Hill, which employs and gives support to people who need a hand up, providing an opportunity for them to use and develop their skills and talents as they rebuild their lives in the community. Our coffee caravan is open weekday mornings - it’s a great place to buy a coffee and make a difference.

In order to continue our work, we need your support. In all, it now costs the Foundation $24,000 per year to fund the additional services and support our most vulnerable community members.
